My parents had 2 pet birds, Olly and Monet. Monet had been acting funny all day long, squawking and screaming, not wanting to eat or be held etc..., Olly has had a feather coming out of her that had been bothering her for a few days. Tonight she jumped off of her cage and hit the floor. I picked her up to try and comfort her and she couldn't stand up- her wings were spread like she was trying to fly but she was just laying in my hands, after about 45 seconds to 1 minute her eyes shut and she was "pronounced dead at the scene"
The other bird, Monet, was freaking out and screaming like he had been all day long-- We layed Olly on the table ontop of some towels and let Monet see that she was dead. We all gathered around the table and Monet kept screaming-- and flying around the table trying to get us away- we backed off and Monet tried to preen her and was "kissing" her. He calmed down and got back on his cage and has been ok...
Is there a possibility that he knew what was coming?
