This morning, I fed my cold-water fish as normal. Everything seemed fine, they looked happy and they were in great shape.
In the evening, I checked up on them and I noticed that one of the fish had developed a larger eye. It seemed that the eye is protruding out of its socket - it really doesn't look very nice.
Please note, that this has only happened in one of the fish' eye and not the other one. The 'affected' fish seems happy, he swims around as normal, eats as normal too. None of the other fish have this problem - it just came on suddenly.
I am wondering if it has anything to do with him possibly hitting his head on something?
Because, my water quality is near enough perfect. Ammonia is 0ppm, Nitrates is <20ppm, Nitrites 0ppm, pH 7.4
I did do a 25% water change just in-case! So, I am doubting its anything to do with an infection.
What do you think I should do? It's only one eye and he still seems happy and swims around with the other fish as normal. He also eats well too. Does he need medication? :\
Thank-you,
Dan
