One Piece Time Skip, Rumours or Fact?

I stopped reading the manga of One Piece right at the end of the Marineford Arc so from that point on to the current manga I know nothing, my question is is there a time skip from the end of the Marineford arc to the present manga and IF there isn't why are people so certain there is going to be a time skip (I've only heard rumours so please give sources)

P.S If you must give spoilers then fine spoil away but if not then please don't, thanks.
 
Yes, there was a time skip. I don't want to spoil anything because it's great. You should start reading it again. :)
