So! I've been using OpenOffice to do my physics homework, and this semester we've been given solutions files made with Word. Obviously, with physics, there are a host of odd characters associated with the equations. However, some of these characters don't show up.
Some examples:
- Infinite signs.
- Plus/minus.
- Theta, lambda, other assorted Greek letters.
- Large parentheses (ones that encompass multiple-line equations)
- Equivalent.
- The "multiplied by" dot
Am I missing some packages? Are there any I can find to remedy this situation? Has anyone else run into this problem? I've browsed some Linux support forums, but I've failed to find any definitive solution.
Operating system: Linux Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.
Thanks much!
