Orthodox Judaism.......?

There is a girl that sits behind me in one of my college classes that is converting to orthodox judaism. I thought that true Orthodox jew's do not accept converts? I thought they believe that you are born jewish and that even if you convert, you are still not considered a jew in their eyes?

She says that her boyfriend is Orthodox but if he were, would he marry a convert?

I am reformed jewish and my aunt is Orthodox jew and she couldnt even come to the ceremony of my wedding because my husband is not jewish nor was he converting. Even if he were converting, she said that she wouldnt have been able to come.

Any details on Orthodox Judaism is appreciated..
