Outlook won't send mail anymore?

Suddenly I'm not able to send email with Outlook (version 2010). I'm able to recieve email with it, and I'm able to send email through the same account with the isp's webmail page. But mail sent with Outlook now just sits in the outbox forever. When I click Send/Recieve, it spins for a while and then the statusbar says "send/recieve error".

I can't think of anything that's changed. Any suggestions on what the problem might be?
