Paintball sponsorships for begginers/rookies?

So mean and my friends started playing paintball about a week ago and I got dragged into this game. this is the sport i wanted to play with a passion. Im 15 and i really want to play in tournaments and possibly get sponsored becuase paying for all my gear is really hard. So i wanted to know if there was any amateur tournaments in the Chicago area, And how i can get sponsored by a company. Any advice? thank you
 
There is no free paintball.

Your going to have to earn your way. Get a job if you need money. Dont expect a free hand out. (Oh, unless your a democrat)

Once you've played a while and are good enough to play tourneys, there is some sponsorship available to the really good teams. But understand, its a very minimal sponsorship. Your still going to have to pay for 90% of your expenses.

Pro paintblallers get a lot more covered, but they still have to have regular jobs. You cant make a living playing paintball.
 
No chance you will get a sponsor. You need to be good and show a potential sponsor that you deserve to have them sponsor you. A new group or team will not be sponsored.

For new people how you pay for it is getting a job. Only way you can afford to play paintball. Honestly you will have the most fun when you are able to afford your own gear and get whatever you want. I loved paintball when i was younger but i love the sport even more now that i can afford those $800 and up gear.
 
It will be hard for you to get a sponsorship but try and go to your local shop and ask them.for a spinsorship if your lucky they will give you discounts whitch will help. Trust me i had that same problem at your age and this really helped. Hope i helped you
