Hey.. last night when my boyfriend and I got home, his dog, a bichonXmini poodle, was limping with his back/right leg, so we took a look and he had a sliver stuck between two toes. We pulled it out, and it was HUGE. Probably about an inch long, most of which was actually in his foot, and a few mm wide. The poor thing. We rinsed it out then put some hydrogen peroxide on it and let it soak for a while. We couldn't find the cat's old cone that we were going to use so he wouldn't lick it, so we just held him for a while, rinsed it really well, and let him sleep on the bed with us to keep an eye on him. I don't think he licked it after that, he pretty much just went to sleep. It bled a tiny bit, but not much. This morning, when I took him for his walk, he was still limping, but would sometimes put his foot down for a couple of seconds.
Should I take him to a vet, call a vet, or do you think he'll be okay?
