I was perscribed 100 mg of Wellbutrin by my psychiatrist today, and I was wondering what people's opinions were on this antidepressant... I'm a 19 years old female, and have never taken medication for depression before. My psychiatrist said that she will up the dose if it doesn't seem to work.
Any side-effects, cons, how long it takes to work, etc?
Please help, I'm supposed to start taking it in the morning tomorrow!

and how is Wellbutrin different from SSRI's? My psychiatrist said that she'll never consider putting me of SSRI's, and I was confused.. Is it because Serotonin induces sleep, and Wellbutrin makes you more alert..?
