I have been taking pictures for a long time because I love do to it. Just recently, a few co-workers have asked me to take their pictures and will pay for them. So this gives me an idea to open my own small business. I was thinking about doing stock landscapes and then do on site sessions. I don't really enjoy to studio portraits per sae, I would rather shoot people in natural elements and do candid.

I would really appreciate any tips and suggestions to get started!!

Studio Portraits is good money, and taking people in their natural element is possible while being in a studio, make them go and pose the way you want, be forward about it, think about how you would want them to look if they weren't there.

I plan on being a photographer, and had a few models and to me they looked natural in most of them,

Starting a business sounds fun. But weather its a job, have fun with it.
couple things to keep in mind, depending what your doing, draw up some contracts
for whatever might happen, model release forms, wedding, anything to keep your butt safe :)

Build a portfolio, when it comes to picking pictures, pick the ones you would prefer to see if you were the customer.

Good luck with your business if you choose to open one.
