playstation 3 blu-ray help?

I just bought a ps3 that came with casino royale on blu-ray.
the games I bought are working fine but when I play the blu-ray disc the picture is grey.
my tv is a standard tv not a HDTV.
is it the disc or my tv?
please help.
 
i am almost positive you need an hdtv.

besides whats the point of even playing bluray movies if your gonna watch them on a standard tv?
you might aswell of bought a dvd player.

ps3 NEEDS hd thats what its made for
