...Pupil: I've overslept.? T: You mean you need to sleep at home too?!
2)Father: You have skipped school to play football. Son: I haven't and I have the fish to prove it!
3) Teacher: When you yawn, you should put your hand to your mouth. Pupil: What and get bitten?
Please why the answers are humorous? I just don't get it.
 
1) The pupil must sleep in class. The teacher is playing on the assumption that the pupil would be well-rested with as much sleep as he gets in class and, as a result, wouldn't need to sleep at home.
2) The son didn't skip school to play football. He skipped school to go fishing. The humor arises from the idea that it the son is not denying that he skipped school, but that he's alerting his father to the real reason he skipped school.
3) If the pupil puts his hand over his mouth, it might get bitten. This is humorous due to the idea that it would absurd for someone to bite his own hand.
