I am looking for a decent used car, that doesn't look too basic. I am a student & I have a limited budget of around $4500. In that price range, I have found these two well maintained cars. Both of them have about 160K miles, but they seem to have been nicely taken care of by their previous owners. Carfax history on both cars is clean.
Now I am having a hard time deciding which one to buy. I am basically looking for a car that would not require expensive maintenance or a car that would not frequently break down every few months for the next 50-75K miles.
I have heard abt the legendary reliability of old Volvos, but I am not sure if 2001 S60 is in the same league. Also, I was told that 2001 Volvos have lot of issues with the electrical parts & bulbs & can be expensive to maintain. Is it true?
On the other hand, the Infiniti G20 is a dressed up Nissan Sentra (G20 is a Sentra SE-R with a very nice interior - leather seats, BOSE audio & all that), so it should be relatively easy to maintain....even though even this model also has some known problems like occasional failure of Mass Airflow Sensor.
So, can anyone advice me which car should I go for?
