Okay so here's my story. last sunday, february 8th, i went snowboarding, and then from monday night on i have felt absolutely terrible.

on monday my throat was sore. then tuesday i felt like i had snot in my lungs and had trouble breathing. it was like that on wednesday, thursday, friday, and saturday. i also had a runny nose. then on sunday it wasn't really as if it was in my lungs, but i can definitely still feel mucus when i breathe. it feels almost like its in my trachea, and it just moves around in my upper respiratory system.

i went to the doctors on saturday. they gave a dicongestant and tested for strep (which i dont have). They think it is a viral infection. but the doctor said she couldn't hear anything in my lungs.

yet im still here, days later, and i definitely feel discomfort when i breathe with no relief. I have been trying to cough the mucus up all along, but i feel like most of the time im just coughing up spit,or snot from my nose. when i do feel like i coughed up something substantial it has some color to it.

I have also been drinking tea, lots of water, eating oranges, taking vitamins, and having soup.

This is extremely annoying as I am always uncomfortable. Im also a runner and this prevents me from running, which just makes me sad!

so does anyone have any clue what is wrong with me? it's been over a week now and i am still feeling terrible. is there anything else I can do? should i get an x-ray of my chest or take an antibiotic?
