Please please help! I'm in desperate need of subplots! 10points!?

I'm writing a book about a severely depressed girl, Violet, who tries to kill herself but Nick saves her before she can die. Throughout the book he helps heal her and they fall in love with each other. But that's ALL I've got. I can't think of ANY subplots! Please help!

What if Nick has family issues and has problems at home and the female character helps him to overcome them. In that situation, they could both help each other and grow closer in their relationship.
