It's a part of my book. The main character is reading from a history text book from 1800s.
Naomi threw the book towards Rob, her eyes popping excitedly. Rob opened page 65 and read aloud:
"The village pub was viewed by many a person as "the alcoholic's oasis". It sat in a quiet street that was quite unattractive to the eye and nose as most of the buildings that stood on either of its sides were derelict, abandoned and piled with rotting waste. The pub was well-designed, a nineteenth century product made out of fine brick and marble. The interior included a dozen round, delicate-legged tables all circled by chintz chairs and the bar area itself, which had every kind of liquor imagined at the time, was, it is rumoured, intricately made to resemble the bar that was in the Pub of the gods at Mount Olympus."
The characters are trying to look for something in the Greek mythology world. So what do you think about the article. Does it sound like it's really coming from an old book? Thanks.
