...you to use? ? Personally I am a big Opera fan. It's fast it's sleek and safe.
Then it's good ol' Firefox. With them "extensions" ( or plugins) you can even replace any Windows generic application and still be safe and secure from the "bad guys" on the net.
Finally it's I Explorer 7, much better and safer than IE6. All it needs is a small registry hack to bring back the "Menu" toolbar, visible and functioning, just like any other previous Explorer version.
I do not recommend the Opera app to a beginner because it needs a lot of tweaking to set it right. i.e. with a minimalistic interface I mean.
I use it about 40% of the times I connect to the net

IE7 is cool for a middle of the road user.

So, I guess I tend to always suggest Firefox

That's my first browser choice.
That's what I recommend to you.
You can try and install all of them and choose the one you like most.
They are all good pieces of software, I can tell you that.
