according to some on here, they say what's wrong with showing your drivers license!

What is considered proof of citizenship in pursuance of federal immigration law?

A)drivers license or social
OR
B)birth certificate,passport,green card

AZ law was requiring that all people carry proof of legal status on them at all time.

is that part of the federal law?

if yes, please provide government link showing proof.

Time to test those brains, don't bother sending news links from either side to show what you know.
let's see who's done there research before commenting.

I am Independent, just want to see where the voice of reason and fact lands

Ahhhh you show just those documents in order to get a drivers license.
SO your question is mute since we ALREADY show our proof of citizenship to obtain the license.

If you are Driving a car you must have a DL with you, with that Law Enforcement can access the national data base and within minute they will know your place of birth so your immigration status is known. AZ law was a burden on law enforcement not the one that is violating the law. Law Enforcement had to research the information. All any person had to do was carry ID as require by most states anyway, the burden of gathering the information was on law enforcement.

Federal Law REQUIRES an immigrant to carry with them at ALL TIMES proof of legal immigration status.
