Well, I've gotta go with Alabama. For a few reasons.

1) SEC is dominant over the Big 12. Think about it. Who has Texas played this year? Baylor? Texas Tech? Give me a break. Not to mention they almost lost to Nebraska. We see it happen time and time again when an SEC team plays a Big 12 team in a bowl game. Just look at last year. Also, Alabama has beaten every single SEC opponent. Florida hyped up to be back-to-back national champions with their "Jesus" Tim Tebow...and look what happened. Bama beats Florida BIG.

2) Alabama is LOADED on both sides of the ball. Greg McElroy, Javier Arenas, Trent Richardson, Rolando McClain, Terrence "Mount" Cody, Julio Jones, Collin Peek, and MARK INGRAM just to name a few. Who are the star players for Texas? Colt McCoy...that's about all.

3) Bama's defense will eat Colt McCoy for lunch. In the Big 12 name me one team that Texas has played with a defense like Alabama's. Nebraska is as close as it gets, and once again, Texas just squeaked by Nebraska.

So I don't see the longhorns pulling it off.

My prediction:
Alabama 30 , Texas 17

What do you think?

I think I remember similar predictions about last years Sugar Bowl. How did that turn out for you?

We'll find out on January 7th.

Bring on the Tide!

1st Nebraska has won 4 national championship games against SEC teams
and one by the largest margin ever. we have only lost one bowl game to a SEC team in my lifetime (43 years) so you may want to rethink that.

the SEC has some great tradition, but before you sound dumb you might want to think about what team has owned Bama, Florida, LSU and Tenn the last 50 years.

We shall see, but ROLL TIDE ROLL! If Texas plays the way they did against Nebraska Bama rolls 42-10, but if Texas shows up to play we might have a game worth watching then I predict Bama 28-14.
