What happened to the days where players could jump into the stands or throw their shirt into the crowd, I mean they can't even swear now! Why is this? Does anybody know, and what are your opinions on the premier league right now.

footballers have a responsibility as role models to allot of the younger generation in the way they behave on a pitch - of course bad decisions made by officials don't help the situation and a player will naturally react in there own way. Wayne Rooney (as a Liverpool fan I say this) is a magnificent player and undeniably a world class individual who has bags of talent however his temper on the pitch at times does not help youth of today as no doubt they will pick / emulate him when playing games themselves.

I support the clamp down on bad language but booking players for overzealous celebrations is in itself -overzealous!

I understand that play is sometimes delayed (which is usually compensated for), and it can incite the fans of the opposing teams sometimes. I think players should be allowed to celebrate with their own fans. It's a priceless moment for fans who get the opportunity to hug and celebrate a goal with their idol, particularly when they have paid a huge bundle to be pitch-side.

I think the key word is common sense
