Problem turning on laptop?

I've got a Sony VAIO VGN-TZ16GN and for the past few weeks have been having problems turning it on. I'll press the power button and it'll flash green, along with the battery light and the WLAN light, even though it'd be fully charged. To turn it on, I have to repeatedly press the power button while taking the charger in and out. After turned on, I can take the charger out and use the full battery life, so I don't think the battery is fried. I also noticed before it actually turns on pressing it once without the charger in, then putting the charger in, waiting a few seconds and pressing the power button turns it on.

Also, where could I find cheap screen replacements for this model?

Since you've recently buy it, go to the place from where you bought it, it may be damaged
