I have tried putting my destructive dog in one room to herself. She chews on wt ever is near her. (wood, counter tops, door,) I take her with me everytime I go in a different room. If not, I put her on a tie in the living room and give her a kong toy. When I catch her chewing on something she shouldn't I tell her NO, and put her on the tie w/o the kong. I have tried one of those head thingys but I don't like that she can't eat or drink with it. I tried a muzzle but she just tears it off. (Found out earlier it was a bad idea to start with). I have to put a protective mat under her kennel bc the dog that sleeps with her pee's in the cage. She is constantly using her paws to pull the protective mat in the cage with her and chew it to shreds. I'm fixing to enroll in obendeinces classes this coming sat. Can any one help until then? Also, most of the behavoir doesn't happen until I leave the room. If i turn my bk for a min she is already into something. I increased her walks to 3 times a day for 30. Play one on one fetch in the back yard. Make her work for treats by sitting, laying down, and rolling over.
