The light switch in my car doesn't seem to be working! The bulbs are fine, in fact I replaced them not too long ago... and the "parking lights", or the yellow tinted lights on the side of each headlight work too. But when I turn the "stick" [for lack of a better term, I really have no idea what to call it] the main headlights don't turn on. It stopped working out of nowhere and then started to work again for a solid 3 days, which led me to believe that it had been fixed by someone... but in the middle of driving earlier this evening, they went out again. My brights also went out with it this time. They were working as a poor substitute when this happens. [I don't drive around with brights, I try to get home asap] I keep getting told by people I describe the problem to that it must be something with the wiring and I'd have to get the entire switch replaced since something shorted out in it. I've tried to bring it in to a shop but I've been told since they didn't see it happen, they have nothing to fix.... apparently it works when it wants to. So anyone have the slightest idea how much this may cost me? Its a 2005, no more warranty. :\ And is it a pretty big problem to fix?
