[QUOTE="dad, post: 2569352, member: 400364"] So..I got some gas earlier and was about to leave.I turned the key and it didn't fire up right away...and when I turned the key again I did it too soon before everything was done spinning on accident. When I tried to start it,it would just whine. So thinking about the solenoid I put it in 3rd get out and rock it...it starts, but sounds rough...like a slight grind but not a loud grind..just not smooth like before...almost like a cluttering sound.I get it home and play with it...still sounds rough but fires right up.I rock it some more ...pop the clutch...now it alternates between just whining and not engaging to sounding rough and firing right up.Will a new starter fix this or did I damage my flywheel?Or is it just the solenoid?Bendix?I'm at a loss.and I'm inexperienced.Need advice...Hopefully someone knows....and if your familiar with MX-6's ...is it easy to remove the starter?thanks a million...good karma your way...
