Problems with uploading pictures to PC from my Razr?

Ok I have a Motorola Razr and I have tried this off and on for over a year. But when I plug in my usb cord and my phone to upload pictures, all it says is "removable hardware found" and doesnt show up in My Computer at all. Can someone please help me with this?? i'm trying to upload pics of my dog.

If you are having bluetooth, transfer the pic to another mobile, say your friend's mobile.

Tell him to transfer that pic to his PC. Tell him to e-mail that pic. Ok?
