Proper Email greeting?

should you greet in every email or just the initial one?

I'm afraid to email a teacher because she's extremely "proper" with her emails. We both greeted each other...it seems kind of redundant to do it again?

Until your teacher gives her permission you have to continue to address her properly and professionally.
