I use yahoo pop3 server as pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk on netscape. When I connect through any other connection like gprs, there are no problems. But when I go through my college wi fi which uses ccproxy as proxy gateway software and we have to enter proxy settings as 192.168.1.1 and port 808, I cannot connect to the pop server. The reason is that DNS is disabled in the proxy software in the college server - on enabling it I saw that my problem is solved. But my college ppl dont let me activate the DNS permanently. I am in a fix. I tried everything like giving the 192.168.1.1 address and even the main IP of the server (cant disclose) Nothing works. HEEEELLLLLP I need to check my mail and send some using POP client programs :-(
