PS3 BlueRay or BlueRay DVD Player?

Q: does the player alone have a better picture than the playstation 3 blue ray?


A: NO. In fact, the PS3's BluRay player was rated AS GOOD as some of the BEST stand alone BluRay players in the market out there today.

Basically, when the PS3's BluRay player was tested and compared to top-of-the-line stand alone BluRay players ($800-$1,000 range), the PS3 came in "equal" in terms of "picture quality". That's why the PS3 was considered a very good bargain even when it was going for $600. The BluRay player in the PS3 alone was worth the $600 price tag.
