So the kid wants both for his birthday (not to mention a laptop, mp3 player, Iphone... etc) but it's not in the price range. The PSP or DS isn't really in the price range but we're trying. The factors I am considering are: The DS: +I (his aunt/sitter/friend) have a DS and so does his younger cousin, so we can all play games together. +I have about 50 games for the DS, some I've never played (all were found in repo cars and given to me) so he has an ultimate library to choose from already-saving his single mom some serious money. +He is into Pokemon/Digimon type things right now, but I don't see that lasting a long time. How many older kids play the DS? But I also think the DS has more age appropriate games for right now. +The refurbished only costs 70.00 at Gamestop-again saving money. The PSP +Plays music, video-way cooler and might grow with him as God of War and such are on it. Also means more money spent on games and movies. +90$ at Gamestop, refurb. More money, more features-probably more likable. At the age of 10, what do you think? If I were 10, I think I would want the PSP-I've asked and he can't choose. I think the DS would save money for a while but may be outgrown. Ugh.
