I already know that at my height (6'0") and age (17) I can be a max of 200lbs, and/or 25% body fat. However this does not help me to figure out what my physical range of abilities needs to be. How far roughly do I need to be able to run? How many push/sit/pull ups do I need to be able to do? I am looking to join the National Guard and was wondering if someone has already gone through it's Basic, if they could give me a rundown of what their daily routine was. Also I came across this article, and it is the entire reason I am asking this question. http://www.military.com/military-fitness/fitness-test-prep/fit-to-serve In the article it states (for a spec. ops. unit) that you should be able to do 100 push ups and sit ups, and 20-25 pull ups. Now I'm no fitness trainer, but I only know one person who can do that many. Am I expected to do that many of each exercise in regular basic? It seems kind of extreme, however I suppose that would be why the slogan is "Army Strong". So yes, if you can answer my question, or just have a comment, I appreciate your time nonetheless. Thank you in advance!
