Can I get a bachelors in Social Work and then go on to grad school and get a masters in counseling psychology? I picked social work for my major because I know there isn't much you can do with a psych degree. Plus when I get out of college I can have a job helping people. My main goal is to be a counselor of some sort.. maybe a psychotherapist or something.. dealing with people who have mental illnesses. I do mostly want to work one on one but am not closed to the idea of working in groups. I knew if I chose social work this could lead to move options... like I could end up working one on one or in groups if I like it better.. the only thing is I am very much interested in psychology.. should i minor in that... and then go on to get a masters in counseling??? Please someone help me!!!!!
