I bought a Sony BDP-S300 Blu-Ray player about 6 months ago. I've really been enjoying it, but have been having a problem with it. Most of my Blu-Ray discs will play, but others won't play at all.
So far, I have had 3 discs that wouldn't play. What happens is I place the disc in and a Loading screen shows up. It is a black screen and at the bottom it says "Loading" and underneath that is a blue bar that keeps moving back and forth, indicating that the movie is loading. The problem is that the movie will never load...I know some Blu-Ray players have long load times, but I have waited up to ten minutes for the movies to load with no success. It's just as if the blu-ray gets stuck or something. I have tried cleaning the discs and the inside of my blu-ray player but still no luck. I read the troubleshooting section in my manual and nothing in it was helpful.
Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do?
What's weird is that one of the movies played fine one day...the day after I invited a friend over and was eager to show her how cool my Blu-Ray player was, so I placed the disc in and to my embarrassment it wouldn't play the disc. I'm baffled as to why it would play fine one day and then not work at all the next
