Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on making food the quickest / non messy way as possible. I hate cooking meals from scratch because it takes way too much time and personally I am not a great cook. Because of my hectic work schedule I have been going out to eat almost everyday and I am getting sick and tired of restaurant food. I also get tired of cold meals too (there’s only so much cold turkey sandwiches / pop tarts / peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I can take).

I would like to add that my oven does not work and the only thing I can work with is an electric stove and a couple of pots and pans. I was thinking of buying Tyson chicken nuggets, and precooked can foods like chef Boyardee and Progresso soups but I don’t know if that will be enough. Over these few months I have eaten one to two meals a day and lost so much weight. I also don’t think I am getting the proper nutrition.

Q: Are there any ways to cook meals less than 30 minutes [without utilizing a lot of dishes]?

Q: Can I live off canned food for the next couple of months until my work schedule digresses over the summer? [Basically will I have the proper nutrition / not lose incredible amounts of weight?]

Thanks!

There are plenty of one-dish meals that you can make in bulk and then freeze in serving-size tupperwear for future meals.
These are some of my favorites that would work well. If you need recipes, let me know, I could email them to you or something:
Shrimp scampi with rice and red pepper (or any veg)
Stir fry
Chicken lo-mien
Beef stew
Chicken soup
tomato-pork soup
linguine with clam sauce
spaghetti and meatballs
dynamites
cheesey chicken broccoli and rice

All of those things are easy and can be cooked in one or 2 pans/pots and don't have to be baked. Also, you can add whatever you want to them (any veg or meats) and they are all interchangeable with either instant rice or pasta.
You can't get chicken nuggets, because those have to be cooked in an oven. You can't microwave them.
Please don't buy canned soups, they have SO much sodium, and the vitamin content of fresh homemade is far far better....

Let me know if you need recipes! :) I can probably come up with more ideas too

I use paper plates and bowls and forks and and stuff.
One skillet meals like Hamburger Helper are great. You have a pan and one utensil to clean and if you use non stick it's not a big deal.
Buy what I call 'astronaut meals'. They come in the aisle and are ready to cook in the microwave but are from Healthy choice and such.
Hit the salad bar at the store or rotisserie chicken.
Cereal and oatmeal can go in disposable bowls.
Get mac n cheese in the microwave containers and cook it, drain tuna and put it in the bowl, add some peas and mix. Microwave with a little touch of water for long enough to warm everthing up.

lol to eating out of the crock pot. that made me laugh but its true get a crock pot and throw in some chicken carrots and potatoes some salt pepper and a touch of water add other seasonings you like and eat it out the pot or get paper plates.

Papper plate is the way to go if you don't want to wash any dishes at all and is a very fast way to clean up. Other than that, if you are going to decide to use real plates, there will always be cleaning involved. No other way around it. Unless you use half papper plates and half real plates.
