Im 16 live in a small wyoming town and have chewed since I was probably 11. I buy it from a convience store that doesn't ID. Ive been caught twice. Once my english teacher took my can and threw it away. Another time a police officer pulled me over, saw I had a dip in and asked for my can. When I gave it to him he threw it in a corn field and sent me on my way. How am I going to quit when its barely even frowned upon in my community? Is it too late to quit? What are some alternatives to chewing?

It depends on if you really want to quit. It doesn't matter if everyone around you turns the other cheek, you have to want to quit. If you do want to quit then try chewing gum, having a snack when you get the urge, be somewhere with someone that doesn't encourage you to chew.

lincoln, please quit. that stuff will ruin your mouth, ruin your teeth, ruin your breath, ruin your overall health (mouth cancer is the least of the problems) and ruin any chance of a relationship with a girl, because no girl wants to kiss a guy whose mouth is stained, dirty, smelly and infected from having chewed poison.

so what if it is not frowned upon ... years ago we thought smoking was cool too, and look at how many millions of people have been killed by cigarettes.

learn to chew gum instead. and i do hope that you brush your teeth every night before you go to bed.

please quit so that your mouth can have a chance to recover.
