I've passed out a number of times over the past couple of years. Over the past two months, my friends and other adults have witnessed me passing out more than nomal, and twitching my legs, feet, head, and arms. I'm usually out for around 30 seconds to 2 minutes. I've seen my doctor at least three times about it, and they finally referred me to a cardiologist at the Children's National Hospital in DC. I've already seen a neurologist in Maryland, but she said I looked fine. I have an appointment in like two months with the cardiologist, but last night I passed out again, and for the rest of the night my heart was beating so fast and hard I couldn't even count the beats. My mom gave me my medicine that finally made me go to sleep, but my heart feels pounding again today, and this time with a bunch of chest tightness and dizziness. I'm afraid I'm going to pass out again. What should I do? I don't want to seem like a hypochondriac (as my dad calls me when I tell him about my symptoms), so what should I do? HELP!!!
PS. I'm 15 yrs old and in foster care from being abused.
