...in-manager test after changing default format? I was playing around with my Realtek HD Audio Manager and trying out the sound effects for the Speakers tab when I changed the 'default format'. Immediately after this happened, the audio I was listening to simply stopped (even though it was still playing), and I was no longer able to hear any audio from my computer whatsoever except for the speaker test in the Manager itself. I have tried to reset to the default 'default format', but my audio still is gone.
I can not system restore -- I haven't remembered to turn it back on since a virus that used it to stay alive had to be removed from my computer. It seems that is the only advice I've seen when I try to google the topic (although I haven't seen anything like my problem, to be fair).
How can I fix my sound?
