Doesn’t there seem to have been a lot of sports-related deaths as of late? Well, unfortunately, there’s another death to report. Austin Box, a linebacker for the Oklahoma Sooners, died today. An official cause of death has yet to be reported. Austin Box was expected to be a full-time starter this year for the Sooners.
Early rumors are pointing to a drug overdose. According to a police report, a person on the scene thought drugs were involved in Austin Box’s death.
“Austin was a great young man,” said Bob Stoops, the coach at Oklhoma, “a great young man to coach and a great teammate.”
