ok so i had accidentally ripped my laptop wire cord in half, and decided to fix it my myself by striping the wire down to its core, i found beyond the black rubber that insulates theirs was a thin mess of metal wires underneath it that twisted on top of a white rubber that insulated another whole mess of metal wires and i stripped that rubber too. I then took the metal wire underneath the white wires and twisted them together and electrical taped them together and then took the outer layer of the thin metal layer and e-taped them then plugged everything back in so basically i spliced my laptop cord back together is this safe? i made sure none of the wires are touching are exposed and my laptop says its charging again.?
