1. All I hear is Obama did this, Obama did that. Because the economy just now got bad right? We were in fabulous shape until Obama was sword in, THEN things wen't down the drain. Right. He inherited this, and you know it.

2. Bush inherited a recession, you say? WRONG! George Bush inherited a budget surplus and a deficit that had been reduced. Took him all of six months to blow all of that on a trickle down tax cut. We did have six months of job loss when Bush was inaugurated, and that is due to the dot com bust in march 2000. Clinton had no control over that. There was no real threat of a recession, just a temporary slump in a still productive economy. Clinton however, did inherited a poor economy from Mr. "Read my lips, no new taxes." Unemployment then was in the 8 percent range, not much better than it is now.

Suffice it to say, from 1995 to 2000, jobs were plentiful. These were my teen years, I am a 90s kid. My father, who owns his own plumbing company now, was fired from two companies within this time frame, both for doing his own work on the side. But both times, he found a new job within a week. That's how good the job market was under Clinton, my father would not have been able to do that in any other decade since the roaring twenties, finding a new job so quickly.
*Sworn in, typo there

I hear ya. My parent's lost 1/3 of their IRA savings.

Should have been retiring next year, but probably will not happen that soon.
