The number 144,000 may also be referring to the number of the Beast (666).

144,000 / 6 / 6 / 6 = 666.
(144,000 / 6* = 24,000 / 6* = 4,000 / 6* = 666.666...)

The number 216 may be referring to the number of "a man".

144,000 x 6* = 864,000 x 6* = 5,184,000 x 6* = 31,104,000 / 144,000 = 216 = "gbr.ya" (Hebrew Gematria) = "a man"; as the number of the beast: for it is the number of "a man". In terms of the name, there is also a 216 letter name of God, also known as the 72 names of God (Exodus 14:19-21). In that we are talking of the Beast, the 72 spirits of the Goetia are also associated with this name.
