Not my cup of tea. But this week is the great annual Perseid meteor shower. That has been about as close as I get to a religious experience.
 
Do limericks count? I once made a stab at summarizing Tolkein's Middle Earth saga in limerick form, tho the only one I can recall offhand is this one:

And then came an elf named Gil-galad
whose spear could turn orcs into salad.
But there was a war on
with nasty old Sauron
and this brought an end to his ballad.
