i want to transfer files from one computer to another on a wireless home network. problem is, is that my ISP Rogers have a bandwith cap at 100 GB per month. So if im transffering gigs worth of files to my other computer, would this count towards my bandwith cap?
If u are transfering through your network through a network sharing folder u have setup then no.. Basically its just going throught the router to your other computer and does not go onto the rogers network at all.
Anything you transfer from one computer to another does not count. Now if u store your files on a website and then download them to the new computer. then that counts.
If u really want to be safe about it... and/or want to have a quickier way of transfering things.. external hard drives are the way to go these days.. Basically put whatever u want to transfer on it.. and then unplug it from you usb and plug it into your other computer.. and then drag it off the external harddrive
