Rogers SIM card doesnt work on a New Zealand phone?

I got a phone at the airport in new zealand when i was coming into Canada. I got a rogers sim card here for 40 dollars BUT it doesn't work! It keeps saying it cant find the vodaphone network, any idea on fixing this?

I guess,Your phone is restricted by New Zealand network carrier.
So only it won't accept your Rogers sim card.If you want to put your Rogers sim card on your phone,you will need to unlock your phone.For unlocking you can approach your service provider or else try to buy an unlocking service from any one of the online unlocking service provider like TheUnlockSpot.com Once unlock it,it will accept your Rogers sim card.
