I'll be living in Canada next year (about an hour outside Halifax, Nova Scotia) and I'm trying to find a good cell phone carrier. Rogers seems to be the biggest and they have a good selection of phone models, but I've heard bad things about them. What's the deal exactly, are they like Verizon here in the states, where they lock every function on the phone and then charge you to use them, or try to charge you double on the stupidest things? If they suck who would you recommend?
P.S. For what it's worth, I wouldn't sign up for anything longer than a 1 year contract (maybe 2 at the most).
