We are thinking about going to Miami for our 5 yr anniversary leaving our 2 children with the grandparents, this will be our first trip together without kids/family/friends probably since we got married.

Our marriage is on the rocks even living separated so we are attempting to save our marriage. Can you give opinions on where to go in Miami that would be romantic place to stay, places to eat, activities, etc.

Truly appreciate all the advice!

Thank you! Tonya
We are already in counseling!!!! Already doing all of that ... this is a trip to kinda get away from the stress and time to spend on just us!
We know where things started to go downhill and that was not spending time on each other! After kids everything became about them and almost forgot about each other. No we don't hate each other no it's not horriable we can get along when we have to just thought a trip might help bring that loving feeling back :)
And no not blaming the kids that's just when we quit working on our marriage for us!!

I agree with the first reply. Spending megabucks going to Miami ain't the answer but maybe counselling would help. Failing that, possibly go away for a weekend and sit down and TALK to each other and try to think of when things STARTED to go wrong. Maybe if you can pinpoint that, take it from there and see how things go. Good luck to you both anyway, whatever you decide to do.

You're not going to like this answer; ditch the trip plans and spend the money on counseling. A vacation is not going to suddenly solve the problems in your marriage, nothing will. But counseling will help you two work through the issues.
