Rookie : LeBron vs. Carmelo?

Me and my friend had a huge debate about this today, and he honestly believed Carmelo had better stats than LeBron. I on the other hand believe LeBron had the better stats.

LeBron:

21 PPG, 6 APG, 6 RPG, 42% FG.

Carmelo:

21 PPG, 3 APG, 6 RPG, 43% FG.

I thought he was stupid for that, but what do you think ?

Melo just played better. forget the stats. Melo, in my opinion, did better overall is rookie season
