bedroom and Ac/Heater closet. What is it? We have a rotten egg smell; mainly in our bedroom it is the strongest and also in the closet that houses the AC/Heater unit. What is it and how do we get rid of it?

Is there a hose and pan for condesation fr. A/C. This may need cleaning? In sewer systems gases sometimes build up, if there`s some type of drain in area flush it out. H2S in sewer systems is deadly, but this is usually only built up in outdoor septic tanks. H2S has a rotten egg smell! After one whiff you lose your sense of smell, after two,--------.

check for:

* no water in the 'u' trap for the condensate drain.
Add some, (a few drops of oil on top will keep it from evaporating away again).

* something died in the ductwork.
Take it out.
