ive just passed my test and im not too certain about which lanes to take on some roudabouts etc. my instructor has always told me to take the left lane for anything before 12 o'clock and right lane afterwards.
where i live, there's a roundabout which has 6 exits. the fourth one is for going straight ahead - this exit has two lanes which merge into one eventually. on approach to the roundabout, i have noticed that people would normally take the right lane, go round the roundabout and move in to the left lane on the exit, or sometimes take the right lane and overtake athe vehicle on the left.
what is the correct/safer way to approach this. can i not take the left lane on approach and take the left lane on my exit?
