Russians, are these rumors true?

Hi Russian people! I have been doing a report on Russia and I find your country and your people are quite interesting. I like a lot about you guys and I just wanted to know if some rumors are true... I would love to get a Russian pen pal.(I'm a 16 yr old American girl btw lol) Anyone who reads this please don't be mean... I just want to learn some things and such.

Questions(or rumors that I have heard)

Is it true Russia grows a lot of potatoes?
Is it true that Russians are hard headed and NEVER give up?
Is Russia aloud to play Call of Duty.(I was told it was banned)
Is it true you hate Americans?
Is it mandatory in school you learn English?
Do Russians wear a lot of fur?

What exactly do you guys think of Americans? I would like to know your opinions on how you think our people are. What do you think of our history?

Yes, we grow lots of potatoes.
We given up only when it's stupid to go on.
Don't know. Emigrated before Call of Duty was out.
No, we don't. We never had any such propaganda, even during the height of the Cold War.
No. Most schools teach a second language, but not all of them teach English.
No, not really. Only the fashionable ones.

We kind of like Americans, but wish they kept to themselves a bit more. You know, less intervention, less conflict, that kind of thing...
