OK I am in need of alot of questions that I have not find on the internet but hopefully will find here. any ways here it goes...

1.if you have a 30g saltwater tank and you use 30pounds of aragonite suger sized...wat fish or invertebrates can I use that are suger sized safe?

2.during the cycling process is it ok too keep it dark and to use a filter and a skimmer?

2.again during the cycling process when is it ok to add my live rocks? they have ben cured.

3. the people at the marine only store said to add about 3 damsels after a period of about 4 days.... it that right?

4. how long does 30pound of aragonite take to settle down in a 30g tank?

5. if I were to use a bacteria booster like Ready Now bacteria... can I be using a skimmer?

and lastly.....6. how often do u uses test stripes on a cycling tank?

tanks for the answers
ok if I cant use a skimmer then I got a big problem by filter has a built-in skimmer wat do i do?

1- don't worry about the grain size of the substrate... worry about the volume of the aqurium... most inverts will be fine including starfish. as far as fish go you will probably only have like 2 clownfish and maybe a gobie or some small damsels.

2- no skimmer during cycling...keep it dark and crank up the heat to 80

3- add your live rock asap as long as it is going into saltwater... that is where your nitrifying bacteria will live.

4-no way wait at least 2 weeks after everything is set up including the live rock.

5- wash the aragonite first...if you don't (unless you bought live sand) it could possibly stay cloudy permanently... at least until you do a lot of water changes.

6-again no skimmer anytime you are trying to raise the bio filter

7- every 3-4 days for one month
